Silverstein Properties and their architects, Foster and Partners, proposed disassembling and removing the Survivors' Stairway from the WTC site at the October 13, 2006 LMDC Section 106 meeting. The World Trade Center Survivors' Network and the Lower Manhattan Emergency Preservation Fund submitted letters strongly disagreeing with the proposal.
